ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The “Beyond the Medal” program provides comprehensive support to athletes with the potential to represent Cyprus at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Paralympics, empowering them to develop both their athletic careers and their educational and professional paths.
APPLICATION SUBMISSION
See below the details of the new Beyond the Medal 2026 round, the online application form, as well as the required documents that must be downloaded, completed and signed by the persons/bodies indicated in each document, and uploaded to the form.

Please read carefully the open call, the participation terms, the eligibility criteria and the evaluation process.
2. Required Documents for Completion and Signature
Before starting the application form, please download the two relevant files and ensure that they are completed and signed by the persons/bodies indicated in each document. Then, upload them to the corresponding fields of the form.

Who can apply?
• Have previously competed in the Olympic or Paralympic Games, or
• Are emerging athletes with a strong prospect of qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic/Paralympic Games.
What are the main selection criteria?
• Academic achievements
What can cause an application to be rejected?
• Late submission
• Submission of false information or documents
What does the sponsorship include?
• Up to €10,000/year for emerging athletes
• €5,000 bonus if the athlete qualifies for the 2028 Olympics/Paralympics
What can the grant be used for?
• Athletic support: coaching, facilities, equipment, travel & lodging for competitions
