The ENA Foundation announces the launch of its new programme “Open Canvas”, a new cultural pillar of the Foundation. It is a programme where art, creativity and expression meet a social mission. Its aim is to support artists so they can develop their work and bring their dreams to life. Through the “Open Canvas” programme, the ENA Foundation seeks to open new paths and strengthen initiatives that contribute to shaping a more vibrant and creative Cyprus.
The first artist to be supported under the ENA Foundation’s new programme is Antigoni Buxton, this year’s representative of Cyprus at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest with the song “JALLA”. With a contemporary artistic identity, an international outlook and a meaningful connection to Cyprus, she marks the beginning of a programme that aspires to empower cultural figures and meaningfully support their creative journey.
In his statement, the Founder of the ENA Foundation, Mr Tasos Papanastasiou, said:
“Our goal is to support people with dedication and big dreams, so that we can showcase Cypriot talent and promote our country’s culture.”
The “Open Canvas” programme expresses precisely this philosophy within the field of Culture. Antigoni Buxton is a new artistic voice with authenticity, dynamism and international potential, and we are particularly pleased that she is the first artist we are supporting through this programme.
For her part, Antigoni Buxton added:
“I am very happy that the ENA Foundation is now a major supporter of mine. From the moment I met the team, I was genuinely touched by the Foundation’s work and the way it meaningfully supports people and initiatives in Cyprus. My warm thanks to Mr Tasos Papanastasiou, who believed in me and supports young people who are striving to achieve their dreams. It is incredible how far a dream can go when there are people who believe in it. I am truly proud to be part of this effort and I look forward to everything that lies ahead.”
Antigoni Buxton will attend an event organised by the ENA Foundation in early April. During the event, a major social donation will be presented, which will support children and families across Cyprus. This initiative is expected to mark an important step in strengthening the local community.
